October Stamp It Blog Hop – Theme: Thanksgiving / Christmas

Today’s projects are a coordinating Thanksgiving card and a Kraft Pillow Box. To create the projects I used the ComeTto Gather Suite, Birds of a Feather, and the Country Home stamp sets. 

Pillow Box:

To create the pillow box I used the Kraft Pillow Boxes and the take your pick tool the spatula tip to separate the box when the box is flat use Craft White ink and the Maple image to stamp over the box. I then used Tear and Tape to adhere the box back together. Now on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock using Gray Granite ink I stamped the large pumpkin then cut it out using the coordinating Gathered Leaves Dies. Next on to scrap pieces of Gray Granite and Pretty Peacock card stock cut out a few of the leaves using the Gathered Leaves Dies. On an additional piece of Gray Granite card stock, I stamped the sentiment from Country Home that states”Simply thankful for all good things” using Versamark ink then embossed using White embossing powder, now using your paper snips cut out around the thank you I then cut out the simple for all good things, after arranging and gluing down your leaves, I added the pumpkin with a dimensional then used the dimensional for the “thankful” and glue down the other pieces of the sentiment.  now I took Whisper White Bakers Twine and the Cajun Craze Twine from the Come Together Ribbon Combo held them together and created a bow adhered with glue dots. 

The Card:

Card base ; Whisper White cardstock measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2 ” scored at 4 1/4″.  additional piece measuring 5 1/8″ x 2 1/8″

Gray Granite card stock 5 1/4″ x 4″

Come To Gather Designer series paper measuring 5 1/8″ x 2 7/8″

Scrap pieces of Vellum, Pretty Peacock, Gray Granite, WhisperWhite card stocks.

Stamp with Versamark ink The sentiment “Gather Together” sentiment from the Come To Gather stamp set, also stamp the two images of the wheat onto the vellum and emboss all using White embossing powder.  now using paper snips cut out your wheat images as well as your sentiment.

Stamp your turkey image onto a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock using Memento ink, color your turkey image and using Stampin Blend markers, then using the Stitched Shape Dies to cut out the circle that fits this image. ( medium circle)

Now using your scrap pieces of Pretty Peacock and Gray Granite card stock cut out your leaves with the Gathered Leaves Dies.

Using the maple leaf image and White craft ink stamp randomly on your Gray Granite card stock measuring 5 1/4″ x 4″.

Assembly;

Glue your designer series paper onto your Whisper White card stock measuring 5 1/8″ x 2 1/8″. then glue this layer onto your Gray Granite layer, arrange your die cut leaves as well as your Vellum wheat, glue down onto your designer series paper. Now add the turkey image using dimensionals, glue your sentiment to the left-hand side of your turkey image. 

Using Cajun Craze and Whisper White Twine wrap around the Gray Granite card stock layer two times adding a bow to the top left-hand side, use a glue dot to keep it in place.

For a finishing touch to ourcard use the Holiday Rhinestones in the Pretty Peacock color to add a little bling!
