Home to Roost 1

Hello, My Friends, I hope You are All Well!

Well, I have been very busy with my youngest son at the San Antonio rodeo here in Texas. Came home proud and very tired and needed some downtime so some card crafting therapy was in order. I thought I would create a little country card with a Home to Roost stamp set you may earn free from the Sale A Bration with a minimum purchase of $50.00.

The card base is whisper white 5 1/2 “x 4 1/4” The second layer is Old Olive that’s been run through big shot using the Subtle embossing folder, then die using the largest rectangle stitch framelit Dies. The next layer is Crumb Cake die with the fourth smallest Rectangle Stitched Framelit Die. The third layer is the next smallest Rectangle Stitched Framelits in  Whisper White embossed with the Tin Tile embossing folder slightly sponged using Crumb Cake ink. I then stamped the Rooster and the Wheat images onto a scrap piece of Whisper White then cut it out using the large oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I used the blends to color in the Rooster, Old Olive of Daffodil Delight in Cajun Craze. I lightly sponged the background with Balmy Blue to give the sky appearance and lightly sponge the bottom with Crumb Cake to give the appearance of the dirt. I then wrapped Linen Thread around the two layers added a Linen Thread bow. Using dimensionals  I attach these two layers to the old Olive layer slightly to the left, I glued the oval with the Rooster to the center of the layers. Stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of Whisper White cut it out with the smallest Rectangle Stitched Framelit slightly sponge the edges with Crumb Cake ink. I attach dimensionals to the right side and glued to the left and apply to the bottom right hand corner of the card.

I hope you enjoyed this card and it inspires you.
