Bird Ballard Suite! One of the Most Favorite Suites in the New Catalog!

Hello, My Friends!

I hope everyone is well today, it is a VERY HOT day here in Houston Tx. One of my most favorite things to do is bird watching so this suite is my cup of tea! We currently have a swallow nest on the top of our front door just waiting for our little ones to hatch, I enjoy watching them get ready for their family to come.

The Bird Ballard Suite is filled with so many lovely goodies, you have the Free As A Bird Stamp Set, Stitched Nested Labels Dies, Bird Ballard Designer Series Paper, Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards & Tin,  Scalloped Lace Trim Ribbon, and Bird Ballad Trinkets. WOW! Right. I love the slight vintage feel of this suite with the trinkets, I love the Laser-cut cards I really enjoy the fact that they did the work for you with a great base a few little touches and you have a wonderful card quick and easy wow card. Well, the possibilities are endless! So enough said and let me share today’s project.

Free As A Bird 2

The card base is petal pink measuring 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, next layer is Smoky Slate card stock measuring 5 1/4″ x 4 1/8 “, The bird ballot designer series paper measures 5″ x 4”.

Using a Balmy Blue card stock I cut a stitched Nestled Labels Die measuring 4 5/8″ x 2 5/8″, using Whisper White card stock cut a Stitched Nestled Label Die measuring 3 1/4″ x 1 3/4″.

On a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock stamp the Bird, and Leave images with Memento ink, stamp your small Flower images using Petal Pink ink, I then colored in the images using the Stampin Blends markers Balmy Blue and Granny Apple green, after images are colored  I then used paper snips to cut out the images.

Using a Black Embossing Powder emboss the THANK YOU sentiment onto the upper left-hand corner of the small white label, heat set using your heat tool.

Assembly; Glue your Balmy Blue Label on to the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper, I then added two strands of the Scalloped Lace Trim one with the scallop going in the bottom direction the second inverted to have the scallop going along the top direction using the Scallop Lace Trim I then created a bow, added it to the left side of the label over the previously placed scalloped lace trim.

I now glue down the leaves on the white label added dimensionals and placed the bird in the center using dimensionals on the back of the label. I adhered the label over the Lace in the center of the Balmy Blue label creating a frame-like effect. Add the two small Flowers to the right-hand side of the frame using many dimensionals. I attached the Bird Ballad Trinket using a glue dot, the designer series layer is then glued down onto the Smoky Slate card stock which is then glued down to your Petal Pink card base. Project complete!

I do hope you enjoyed today’s project!
